Little People Line-side ....

Now getting line-side figures sorted for both the garage and the outdoor layouts...

I received some Sally 4th 32mm clear terra-bases this morning and got on with fixing some recently purchased Bachmann G scale figures to them....

These along with some of the best older figures I had been using now wait patiently for a train on the garage layout stations 

With it being sunny day to day, I put the vehicles out on the garden layout along with some of my older figures on clear bases as a trial 

New buildings for the garage layout ....

 Found a two suitable buildings for the garage layout - a house and garage, for the princely sum of £2.50 in a charity shop. They have no backs but look fine in their positions on the layout,  the house fills out a corner nicely....

Another Playmobil RC Loco ...

Another PlayMobil RC loco obtained from Ebay, this one had controller, charger and three rechargable battery packs; an added bonus was crew in the Loco. Also obtained from the same seller was a 3plank LGB wagon.

 A progress update on the coach to run with my tram loco; have finished the changes to the PlayMobil coach body and started work on the roof...

First running session of the year on the garden layout.....

I took advantage of the sunny weather today to have a short running session on the garden layout.  With most of the pre-spring garden tidy done over the weekend,  I did a quick check for debris on the track - all OK. The train for today was my PlayMobil RC diesel and the coach I'm working on, which will run with the tram loco; a chance to run the coach round and check the coupling clearance round corners - no problems.

A couple of days previously I had fixed up the old windmill and put in on a new green base..

A coach for the Tram Loco (getting started...)

 A new bit of rolling stock to add this year, a coach to go with my tram loco; this is my winter modelling project. I picked up an old Playmobil 4-wheel coach off Ebay and stripped it down to the bits I want to use.

The first modification has been done - removal of the LGB style couplings and replacement with Accucraft chopper ones; a bit of a fudge up but once painted will look OK, 

I've allowed a lot of clearance between the coach and loco to ensure negotiation of radius 1 curves.
