Sunny Sunday (3) - little goods train..

 The Tool Van with a new coupling gets a run with a tanker wagon.. pulled by a battery powered Diesel (using playmobil RC motion)..

Repair Shop: New coupling ..

Catching up on those little jobs - the breakdown train tool van kept coming uncoupled when running.. one of its couplings is missing a 'waggler', the hook part.

The old coupling and the new one to be fixed on somehow...

Old coupling hacked off and making up bits of plasticard to level and fix the new coupling....

The finished bodge job....

Hoorah ! couples up nicely now...

Sunny Sunday (2) - Breakdown train...

 Used my Playmobil RC diesel, for a quick session pulling my little breakdown train ....

Coach works(9) : Handles and grab rails... ...

Having got towards the end of adding all the styrene strip to the coach sides I did a quick assembly check with the roof and underframe - starting to look like what I was aiming for ...

 I've started bagging up all the parts for each coach so as not to loose them...

The final job for today was to use thin wire to represent the door hinges and drill holes for the guards door handles and grab rails.

Sunny Sunday - Trains !

With the initial garden tidying done over the last couple of days and debris removed from the tracks - hoorah time to run some trains ....

Coach works(8) : Staring work on the coach sides ...

Initial work to represent coach side panelling ...

All the vertical bits done on the sides for each coach..

and the horizontal bits for the side of one coach ...

I ran out of styrene strip - I'll have to order more....

Coach works(7) : Preparation ...

Slow progress ... doing what I can while I wait for the plasticard strips I've ordered to arrive.

Today I'm sanding off the lettering and logos from the coach sides and ends....
