A pleasant sunday afternoon ....

Yesterday a most enjoyable afternoon and early evening were spent at a friends garden railway open running session ...

My new battery loco had a good run round ...

 Also running was a track powered Bachmann Percy with some troublesome trucks ....

 The highlight for me, were the radio controlled steam locos ....

New loco with passenger train ....

Some crew added to the new loco and chopper couplings fitted ...

 Nice weather today after lunch-time, so time for a little running session with a passenger train...

New addition to motive power - battery powered Loco ...

Arrived today, a secondhand PlayMobil remote controlled battery powered loco...picked up off Ebay

 after raiding the household battery store for 4 x AA for the loco and 1 x PP9 for the controller, just time for a quick run round the garden layout..

 and a quick check see how it would look with my coaching stock...

need to sort out the couplings, have some spare chopper couplings to fit to the loco, then add some crew ....

Works train ....

After a lovely sunny day, used the cool of the early evening for a running session - used my diesel battery loco and the works train.

Track Cleaning block 'on a stick' ...

My old LGB track cleaning block and broom handle assembly being past its prime (nearly falling apart), so I got a new track cleaning block and have attached it to a broom handle.  A bit more robust than the last one I made 😀

First running session of the year .....

A reasonable day,  just warm enough,  for few light garden chores. So with those done time for a short running session - battery loco and brake van...

Time to tidy up...

The summer gone and autumn in full swing ...

A few little running sessions since the last post; but now it is time to tidy up, buildings and little people will remain out but the vehicles will be stored away for the winter.

(better get those leaves up too ....)
